Rainwater run-off on tap
A key element of stormwater management is the removal of a variety of pollutants using primary and secondary treatment systems.
However, the treated rainwater is usually then discharged to either a local river system or to the open sea rather than being used.
In response we developed the RST 7000 Rainwater Storage and Re-use system. The unique fully-contained RST 7000 is installed downstream of a primary treatment system like the RSF 100 and is designed to capture, filter and store, ready for use, rainwater run-off from building rooves and impervious surfaces.
The unit is designed for use on high-density residential and commercial sites where re-use of the rainwater is both viable and desirable. By reducing our dependence on mains water we can cut water-usage costs over time and quickly provide a positive return on the initial capital investment. Ecosol expands its range of products with the acquisition of Net Tech
Ecosol is pleased to announce the acquisition of the Australian-developed Net Tech pollution control technology, a long established provider of stormwater-borne pollutant traps known as the Net Tech GPI.
Net Tech, which will complement Ecosol's other products, is a proven, compact, efficient, and cost-effective solution to the problems caused by stormwater-borne gross pollutants. The big advantage of Net Tech is its versatility. It has wide applicability and can be installed on beaches, rivers, and canals and in strategic hot spots in residential subdivisions and commercial sites with high gross-pollutant loadings. It can also be retrofitted to existing stormwater drainage systems. It can even be used in submerged applications.
The Net Tech is easily installed and requires little or no structural changes to the existing drainage stormwater system. Its simple, yet effective design enables it to be installed in locations where conventional GPTs are too expensive or too large to fit in a particular site. New Asset Management Division established
An essential element of good stormwater management is the regular cleaning and maintenance of pollution control devices. Ecosol has recently established a new Asset Management division headed by Berin Gillespie and using existing resources in the various state offices, to service this very important need of clients to maintain the GPTs and to ensure they are cleaned regularly.
